This is the very first painting I created since starting our traveling adventures. Thank you so much for your support in Episode 30 when I first shared it with you. Your encouragement is what inspired the rest of this collection! Thank you so much! :)
We had arrived in Marsh Harbor, the most protected anchorage in the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas, to enjoy the safe harbor while waiting out an intense storm. After several days of rain and high winds, we had more gentle skies and a break in the rain. The cool breeze, peaceful sailboats in the anchorage, saturated shoreline, and soft clouds were the perfect inspiration and moment to pull out my watercolors and paint my surroundings. In creating “Safe Harbor,” I felt so peaceful and wanted to more fully absorb the moment by painting it in delicate watercolors.
This museum-quality art print is made on thick, durable, matte paper. It is archival and acid-free. Please note that a frame is not included. The original watercolor artwork was hand-painted by traveling artist, Julie Hausen.
Prints are carefully hand-wrapped in tissue and shipped in a rigid tube mailer for maximum shipping protection.

To highlight the beautiful, masked edge of the original watercolor painting, while preserving the artist's signature, the art has a white margin, as shown in the listing images. This also naturally gives the print a lovely matted effect without the need of a mat during framing. Each print will fit perfectly into a frame with the listed print size (e.g.- a 16x20 print will fit in a 16x20 inch frame).
